The Archaeological Park of Paestum, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998, has been an autonomous museum of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism since 2014.
Its mission is to preserve, study, promote and manage a unique group of monuments and collections. The Archaeological Park of Paestum is supported by its own revenue and public funding. For special projects and major investments it also relies on European Union funding, donations and sponsorship.
